Season four of “Teen Mom 2” may be over, but fans are excited for the reunion special that will air on Monday night. The reunion will be split into two separate parts and on tonight’s episode, Kailyn Lowry will be featured. The preview for the episode shows Kailyn talking to Dr. Drew about Jo’s girlfriend, Vee, and then storming off the stage. Of course, many people have assumed that Kail did this because she “wasn’t getting her way,” but it turns out there is a valid reason for her anger. A report released on May 5 details why Kailyn Lowry was upset.
According to a close friend of Kail’s, she felt as though she was pressured by MTV to be “extra critical” of Jo’ s girlfriend, who Kailyn Lowry has been vocal about not wanting around her son. The “Teen Mom 2” star was told that Dr. Drew would “be on her side,” but that wasn’t the case. After Kailyn explains why she doesn’t want Vee around Isaac (it is because Vee smokes and drinks. She makes neither of these behaviors private), Dr. Drew turns the tables and tells Kailyn she has “double standards.”
It is easy to see why Kailyn then decided it was easier to just walk off stage. People who watch “Teen Mom 2” only see the edited version that MTV wants fans to see. They don’t show what goes on behind the scenes and, as a result, fans have slammed Kail for having double standards. People think it is wrong that she allows Isaac around Javi, but doesn’t want him around Vee. Of course, Javi doesn’t do the things that Kailyn accuses Vee of doing either. She understands why people feel she is a hypocrite, but she is just doing what she feels is best for her son.
It seems that MTV did their best this season to show Kailyn Lowry in a negative light. Despite that, Kailyn is a strong woman and maintains that she is happy she shared her life with fans for the past four years.
