‘Teen Mom 2”s Chelsea Keeps Facing Career Setbacks

Chelsea received some unsettling news on the season premiere of “Teen Mom 2“: The Department of Labor was withholding her esthetician license. The reason? They alleged she had violated its protocol by being paid for performing services at a wedding with her friend Landon while she was unlicensed.

On this week’s episode, the career setbacks continued as the young mom moved into her very first home. Chelsea responded to the charges against her and denied the claims, but she learned she won’t be able to work at her day spa job until she has her license.

“I’m kind of worried because obviously I need to have my job to be able to buy a house,” Chelsea told her friend Chelsey Grace. “I mean, this couldn’t have come at a worst time.”

A second letter from The Department of Labor arrived — and it wasn’t encouraging.

“It’s not my license, and it’s not my results. It’s basically they have more questions,” a frustrated Chelsea told her dad Randy over the phone, before explaining that officials believe Landon hired her and the wedding wasn’t a one-time thing.

“Oh my lord,” Randy responded. “You were there for an hour or so — you did not get paid in any form of compensation. You know the rules, and you didn’t break them.”

Aubree’s mom then contemplated meeting with a lawyer to sort out the ongoing issues. “I just don’t understand what’s going on and why they’re being so crazy,” she said.

Chelsea has worked extremely hard to get to this point in her professional life, and her road ahead won’t be without some challenges. Will she be able to overcome them? Weigh in, and be sure to catch a new episode of “Teen Mom 2″ on Wednesday at 10/9c.
