Corey Simms, Leah Messer-Calvert Filming For ‘Teen Mom 2’

Filming for Teen Mom 2 Season 6 is underway, and Corey Simms is the latest cast member to be spotted with MTV cameras. That means the crew is up in West Virginia filming Corey and his family, including his dad, stepmom, wife, and twin daughters.

Last year, there was some speculation as to who and who would not be coming back for the new season of the show. After dealing with some family drama, Leah Messer-Calvert decided not sign on for a sixth season of the show. With rumors swirling that she and her husband, Jeremy Calvert, were getting a divorce, most fans understood why she would not want to air her life on reality television. A source spoke to Us Weekly at the time and explained why Leah had decided not to sign on for the reality television show.

“She doesn’t want her drama on TV anymore. She’s scarred by how her split with Corey Simms played out on TV.”

With Leah not wanting to do a sixth season of the show, that meant Corey Simms and his family would not film for the show either. The Ashley explained why, without Leah, Corey and his family would not film.

“The show is about the mothers and MTV will not continue on with Leah’s story if Leah isn’t part of it. Also, it’s highly unlikely Jeremy would have signed on for this mess anyway. Corey and his family will also not film, due to this reason. Corey’s father, Jeff, confirmed this earlier this month via Twitter.”

After some time, Leah Messer-Calvert decided to sign on for the sixth season of the show. It is unclear what made her change her mind, but some reports have suggested that the mother of three needed the money. However, the fact that she and Jeremy Calvert were able to work out their marriage (the couple spent New Year’s Eve together) may have played a role in her changing her mind as well.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Corey Simms dad, Jeff, hinted that the he and his family would be back for Teen Mom 2. While he didn’t confirm for sure, the new photo that he shared on Twitter made things clear.

"We are back to smacking these things and having crews hover around us! @NanaSimms @CoreySimms2 @mirandabridget #TM2″

Leah Messer-Calvert hasn’t confirmed that she is filming, but with the crews back in West Virginia, it seems likely that she and her family are filming for the show as well. So far, she and Chelsea Houska are the only cast members who have not been spotted with camera crews; Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry have both been spotted filming.

It is unclear when the new season of Teen Mom 2 will air, but rest assured that Corey Simms and his family as well as Leah Messer-Calvert and her family will be back.

Jenelle and Nathan’s engagement!

The 'Teen Mom 2' cast member dishes about her engagement in paradise.

Jenelle Evans will soon be Mrs. Nathan Griffith, and the “Teen Mom 2” cast member is spilling the exciting details surrounding her engagement in paradise. So how did the unforgettable proposal unfold?

“We went to a fancy restaurant, and we were just going out to have a nice dinner,” the 23-year-old told MTV News exclusively, shortly after the proposal in St. Thomas. “Nathan’s brother came the day after [we did]. [We were like,] ‘Everyone is finally here — let’s just go out and have dinner.’”

After the group was finished eating, Jenelle was in for a very sweet and heartfelt surprise. “[Nathan] just tapped his glass, stood up in front of the whole restaurant, and made this big speech,” the blushing bride-to-be explained. “How he loves me, he wants to be with me for the rest of his life. And he’s really happy. And then he got down on one knee and proposed in front of everyone.”

So what was running through her head when her longtime beau adoringly asked for her hand in marriage?

“I was completely shocked,” she revealed with a laugh. “I think I had an idea he would probably propose to me here, but I didn’t know when during the week he was gonna do it. And I didn’t know what was gonna happen or anything. So it was like expected, but unexpected.”

As for the beautiful round sparkler, Nathan picked it out all by himself — way to go, N!




“He did a perfect job,” Jenelle said. “We went looking for a month, and then he went looking for four months, because he was so indecisive. He showed all of his friends. He showed everyone the ring, but he would never let me see it” because she didn’t want to see the final rock choice until he popped the question.

So what’s next for the future Mr. and Mrs.? The cute couple will continue to relish this exciting time in their lives with family and friends during their island getaway. “We’re just gonna celebrate for the next few days, stress-free,” Jenelle said, adding that they plan to snorkel, scuba dive and more. Leah and Jeremy No Divorce

We've been clutching our pearls ever since Teen Mom 2 Season 5's trailer hit MTV a few days ago. So. Much. Drama. Not only did the preview reveal that Jenelle Evans had a secret abortion, we found out that Chelsea Houska's still hung up on Adam ("Shocker!" said no one), that Kailyn Lowry and Jo Rivera got into another custody dispute, and that — wait for it — Leah Messer and her husband, Jeremy Calvert, almost got divorced!

Leah and Jeremy tied the knot in a down-to-earth courthouse ceremony on April 4, 2012 (they also had a formal wedding on June 11, 2012), which means they've barely been married for two years. You can imagine our shock when these two were seeing arguing about money during Teen Mom 2's preview, and you can imagine our horror when Leah was heard saying "he's going to file for divorce tomorrow!"

Suffering from heart palpitations? Join the club, but here's the good news. Jeremy most definitely didn't follow through with his sinister plans to divorce Leah — in fact, these two ended up having a baby together. Despite the fact that Jeremy had to leave his family for a work gig in Roswell, New Mexico, the whole crew are currently living happily ever after in West Virginia. And we have the tweets to prove it!

Shortly after Teen Mom 2's drama-filled new preview aired, Leah took it to Twitter to gush about her husband. " [Jeremy] and I are off to see Christmas lights with 5 wired kids," she tweeted on December 17. "Listening to kids Christmas favorites."

Leah also mentioned spending quality time with Jeremy a few days later, tweeting "Babies are sleeping, clean house, and now it's time to relax with my husband and family!"

There you have it! Leah and Jeremy are still very much in love — and thank goodness they got over the hump and can go back to doing what they do best: talking in accents so thick that MTV has to subtitle them.

Kailyn Lowry has officially taken husband Javi Marroquin's last name.

A little sappy happy news on the Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry has officially taken husband Javi Marroquin's last name. Well, on Twitter anyway. Yup, the Teen Mom 2 star has changed her Twitter handle to Kailyn Lowry-Marroquin.

Granted, Kailyn may have actually taken Javi's name a year ago legally when the two got married. Regardless, it's not always an easy decision for a lady to make the switch.

It's a choice that some people believe isn't really a choice at all. When you tie the knot with someone, it used to just be assumed that the lady would take her husband's last name. But these days? It feels like more and more women are sticking to the name they've always known. The name that stuck with them through elementary school all the way through college. The name that's been passed down through generations of family members.

I understand why for some, it's not an inevitable, easy choice. It's about identity. If a woman takes her husband's last name, perhaps she feels like she's losing a part of herself. The way I see it, though, it's as if when two people get married -- they come together as one loving unit. Although I'm nowhere near marriage, I know that I'll take my husband's name. To me, that feels like part of the deal. When the time is right and I believe in our love, I'll want to do that for him. At least that's what I think.

But, then again, I won't really know until the time to make the decision comes. Kudos to Kailyn, Javi, and their adorable growing family.

Are Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith Getting Married?

It’s time to pop open a box of Franzia in celebration because it looks like Teen Mom 2’s Jenelle Evans is getting ready to walk down the aisle a second time!

It all started when Jenelle’s boyfriend, Nathan Griffith, hopped on Twitter on August 6 to say that he “hates” her. Naturally, we thought that Jenelle and her new boo were totally dunzo, but it was quite the contrary. Not only are Jenelle and Nathan still together, but according to Jenelley, the two are going to be engaged!

“@astevens1089 thank god u r out of the picture becuz we r getting engaged soon and having that little family u always wanted lmfao,” Jenelle tweeted to Nathan’s baby mama, Allison Stevens, on August 7. 

Technically, Jenelley is still married to her estranged husband, Courtland Rogers, and the two will have to be separated a full year before they can file for divorce (according to North Carolina marital law), but Jenelle is pretty open to the idea of being engaged again.

Jenelle and Nathan will have to sit tight until her divorce comes through. In the meantime, these two can work on getting to know each other better since they’ve only been dating for a few months. And even though they live together, they’ve still got a lot to learn about each other.

Will Leah Messer Calvert’s Christmas Engagement Be Shown on ‘Teen Mom 2

Teen Mom 2 is a little behind when it comes to what is going on in real life and fans who don’t follow the girls on Twitter (or in the tabloids) may not know that Leah Messer is already married and expecting another baby! That’s right, even though fans just met Jeremy Calvert on television, he and Leah have been married since April and he actually proposed to Leah last Christmas, but how did he pop the question?
According to The Ashley, it wasn’t Christmas day, but rather on December 23. With the tree already up and decorated, Jeremy took the liberty of hanging an extra ornament on the tree that said “Leah and Jeremy” along with “engaged.” He then proposed to Leah when she saw the ornament. Hmm, that actually sounds pretty familiar, almost like someone else did that recently.

Jenelle Evans Is Pregnant, Looking Forward to a ‘Second Chance’

It seems that there is never a dull moment in Jenelle Evans’ life and on Wednesday, her husband dropped a bombshell on the world! The newly married couple are expecting a child together!
There have been rumors circulating for a while that the Teen Mom 2 star was expecting, but she adamantly denied it. However, Courtland Rogers confirmed to Star Magazine (via Radar Online) that the two will welcome a new baby in September (the 4th to be exact!)
Suddenly, everything makes more sense. A few weeks ago, Courtland was tweeting that he and Jenelle had received some “amazing news” after a doctors appointment. Of course, many people assumed that Jenelle was pregnant, but both denied it. Not only that, but Jenelle has been maintaining that she is free from any drugs.
She recently tweeted, “I have my own place to live, I have 3 jobs, and I’m clean… Clean for a reason.”
Apparently, that reason is because she is expecting.
Now, most fans will note that Jenelle already has a son (hence why she is on the show Teen Mom 2), but that she does not have custody of him. She has not made any efforts to regain custody and blames that on financial woes. However, Courtland told the magazine that his wife is “happy to have a second chance,” and honestly, that is a kind of scary statement.
When it comes to kids, you don’t get “second chances.” When you make a mistake with your first child, you don’t simply get pregnant again and hope that you do things better a second time around. Many people feared that Jenelle would get pregnant again and those fears have come true. Will Jenelle be a better mother to this child? If she is, will it be fair to Jace? She is hoping that she can be a better mother so that she can hopefully get her son back.
Keep in mind that Courtland Rogers also has a daughter, but there is a lot of drama going on with that situation as well. It is unclear if he doesn’t see his daughter because the mother will not let him or if he puts in no effort. Nevertheless, Courtland says that he is happy to be a father again.

Kailyn Lowry’s Husband to Debut on ‘Teen Mom 2

Last week, fans of Teen Mom 2 anxiously watched, waiting for Javi Marroquin to make his debut. However, that moment never came, despite him have being shown in the previews for that weeks episode. On Monday, Kailyn Lowry revealed that her husband will indeed make his MTV debut on tonight’s new episode!
Kail tweeted, “I know @JaviM9 debuts tonight! This time for sure! Who will be watching #TeenMom2at 10?!”
Fans are excited to finally meet the man who stole Kail’s heart. Even though tonight’s episode will show their first date, the show is a bit behind and the two are actually already married. After dating for awhile, the two tied-the-knot in a quiet ceremony in Pennsylvania this past September. Despite already being Javi’s wife, the two are still planning are large by wedding for their friends and family to attend. In fact, Kailyn spent Sunday at a bridal expo!
Javi Marroquin is currently at boot camp for the Air Force and he and Kail are only able to communicate through old-fashioned snail by mail. Even though it is hard being without him, Kailyn has some ideas on how to make Javi known that he is loved.
She said, “I’m gona print screenshots of nice things people say about Jav tonight & send them to him at boot camp so he feels the love too! @JaviM9”
However, it looks like people are already coming out of the woodwork since Javi is going to be on television and people that he hasn’t talked to in years are acting like they are his best friend.
Kailyn Lowry said, “I can’t wait to read all the tweets about girls acting like they’re best friends with Javi because they knew him in high school. @JaviM9″
Of course, this kind of thing happens to people when they end up on television. All of a sudden, they have a ton of friends that they never even knew about. Javi knows who his real friends are and has his wonderful wife to stand by his side.
