Corey Simms, Leah Messer-Calvert Filming For ‘Teen Mom 2’

Filming for Teen Mom 2 Season 6 is underway, and Corey Simms is the latest cast member to be spotted with MTV cameras. That means the crew is up in West Virginia filming Corey and his family, including his dad, stepmom, wife, and twin daughters.

Last year, there was some speculation as to who and who would not be coming back for the new season of the show. After dealing with some family drama, Leah Messer-Calvert decided not sign on for a sixth season of the show. With rumors swirling that she and her husband, Jeremy Calvert, were getting a divorce, most fans understood why she would not want to air her life on reality television. A source spoke to Us Weekly at the time and explained why Leah had decided not to sign on for the reality television show.

“She doesn’t want her drama on TV anymore. She’s scarred by how her split with Corey Simms played out on TV.”

With Leah not wanting to do a sixth season of the show, that meant Corey Simms and his family would not film for the show either. The Ashley explained why, without Leah, Corey and his family would not film.

“The show is about the mothers and MTV will not continue on with Leah’s story if Leah isn’t part of it. Also, it’s highly unlikely Jeremy would have signed on for this mess anyway. Corey and his family will also not film, due to this reason. Corey’s father, Jeff, confirmed this earlier this month via Twitter.”

After some time, Leah Messer-Calvert decided to sign on for the sixth season of the show. It is unclear what made her change her mind, but some reports have suggested that the mother of three needed the money. However, the fact that she and Jeremy Calvert were able to work out their marriage (the couple spent New Year’s Eve together) may have played a role in her changing her mind as well.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Corey Simms dad, Jeff, hinted that the he and his family would be back for Teen Mom 2. While he didn’t confirm for sure, the new photo that he shared on Twitter made things clear.

"We are back to smacking these things and having crews hover around us! @NanaSimms @CoreySimms2 @mirandabridget #TM2″

Leah Messer-Calvert hasn’t confirmed that she is filming, but with the crews back in West Virginia, it seems likely that she and her family are filming for the show as well. So far, she and Chelsea Houska are the only cast members who have not been spotted with camera crews; Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry have both been spotted filming.

It is unclear when the new season of Teen Mom 2 will air, but rest assured that Corey Simms and his family as well as Leah Messer-Calvert and her family will be back.

Babies! Babs! Binge-Drinking?! Watch The Trailer For The Second Half of Teen Mom 2 Season 5!

It’s been speculated for months (until Kailyn Lowry accidentally confirmed it to us last month) that Teen Mom 2 was coming back, and now we can officially confirm that yes, it is indeed true! Season 5B, as MTV is calling it, returns on July 16 and can we just say that this might be the most dramatic season we’ve seen yet?

Watch the trailer below to get a glimpse of what’s to come on this season, but if you can’t wait that long, we’ll tell you what to expect. Chelsea Houska will be dealing with Adam’s new DUI and how that affects his parenting duties with Aubree, while Leah and Jeremy Calvert adjust to Ali having a wheelchair—and they clearly go through a few rough patches of their own.

Meanwhile, we’ll get to see Jenelle Evans as she finds out the gender of baby number two and preps for motherhood again, and how Babs (and a potentially binge-drinking Nathan?) come into play. Last but not least there’s Kailyn Lowry, who seems to have her hands full with a husband and two little boys. And oh, is that her mother we see?!

Jenelle Evans’ Son Just Celebrated A Very Special Milestone

Cue the “Pomp and Circumstance,” because we have a newly minted graduate to applaud: Jenelle Evans‘ son Jace!

The “Teen Mom 2” cast member’s four-year-old celebrated his pre-school completion in a ceremony on Friday, and naturally, his proud mom documented the memorable milestone with a handful of photographs on Facebook. We can’t help but marvel at Jace’s growth — it seems like only yesterday he was a newborn, and now he’s collecting a diploma. We are officially verklempt.

Jace couldn’t look any happier — or cuter — in his bright blue cap and gown. The man of the hour posed with his grinning mama (who is due to give birth to another boy at the end of this month) and beaming grandma Barbara. Jenelle also captured a candid moment of her boyfriend Nathan Griffith sharing a bear hug with Jace. Although we can’t see the youngster’s expression, Nathan’s face sure says it all: LOVE.

“Time for the big kid school now!” Jenelle wrote along with the heartwarming snapshots. And we’re certain Jace will take his new class by storm!


Before Kindergarten in the fall, Jace will be busy with summer vacation, which no doubt will include beach trips and visits to the pool. And then there’s also that new role he’ll be playing: big brother to Baby Kaiser.

Jenelle Evans regaining custody of son, Jace

Jenelle Evans has been ridiculed by fans lately because she doesn’t have custody of her son Jace and she is already pregnant with baby number two. Fans saw Jenelle hand over custody of Jace to her mother Barbara years ago during the first season of Teen Mom 2. Many people believe that Jenelle should not have gotten pregnant again because it is unfair to Jace, but that may all be changing soon.

In a recent interview, Jenelle revealed that she may be getting custody of her son back before she knows it. If she stays clean, sober and stable for a year, then her mother will give custody back to Jenelle.

“My mom is actually really supportive and excited. My mom told me, ‘If you will keep [being sober] up for a year, I’ll give you custody of Jace,’” Jenelle told OK! Magazine.

It’s clear that Barbara loves Jenelle and Jace, but she is older and is done raising her kids. It would be perfect for everyone if Jenelle had Jace again. Barbara could have a rest and Jenelle and Jace would be together.

Leah Messer Starts a "New Chapter" In Her Life — What Is It?

The time has come to visit Leah Messer in the land of West Virginia! Poor Leah's life has taken a dramatic turn in the past few months. Word on the street is that her daughter, Ali, suffered a health setback, she had to sell their house for mysterious reasons, and her husband, Jeremy Calvert, booked it over to Roswell, New Mexico to work on a pipeline. And by "work on a pipeline" we mean bond with a bunch of extra terrestrials and rejected cast members from the WB series Roswell.

Leah's Twitter has been inundated with emotional musings about life, love and loneliness, but things have taken a turn for the better! Looks like Leah's ready to buck up and get down to the very important business of following her dreams.

"I can't wait to start doing what I have such a passion for!" Leah tweeted on November 10. "#NewChapter My girls will always be my motivation!"

Time for sleuthing. As we know, Leah has a passion for many things –– the key is figuring out which one she's starting a new chapter in. Our short list includes her passion for spray tanning, her passion for hair extensions, and –– duh –– her passion for cheese balls. Of course, it's most likely that Leah is finally opening up her own tanning salon, which has been her dream for as long as we can remember.
